Advising process

All new transfer students with 45 or more semester credits who have declared a major will have an individual advising/orientation appointment with an Academic Coordinator in the department. After the initial appointment, students will have the opportunity to utilize advising in the College of Liberal Arts biannually (every fall and spring semesters). We strongly recommend that you take advantage of the advising resources that will be available to you. Depending on your major, you will be able to attend group sessions or meet with your academic coordinator individually regarding course selection and progress towards degree completion.

Students will also be assigned to a faculty mentor. We encourage you to make an appointment with your faculty mentor to discuss graduate school, career and internship opportunities or simply make a connection with a professional in your field of interest. To identify your faculty mentor, please find the last five digits of your WSU ID # in the "Find your CLA Faculty Mentor pdf" below.
